…with love, Devin

I am sad to see Valentine’s Day already over since it is a holiday I really enjoy!  But, I was lucky enough to get some beautiful images taken by my fiancé (who I am so very grateful for ) with the roses he got me. This post is in dedication to him for being the absolute best thing I could ask for & in honor of Valentine’s Day.

It is not everyday you find someone who will take up the hobby of photographing you & actually enjoy it!  Not only does he enjoy photography, but he pushes me to pursue my love of creating content and blogging. It is hard starting anything up, and definitely easy to feel defeated and at a standstill; but, I am constantly reminded by him that I am smart enough, creative enough, and able to push through obstacles by staying persistent and motivated. I am very lucky and blessed immensely to have that kind of support to back me up.

He is always putting my needs before his, even when I deserve nothing! I am constantly reminded of his ever deepening love for me that I never have to think twice about. It is a wonderful feeling knowing how much someone cares for you during your absolute best and worst times and everything in-between (ever since he was in high school, mind you).

He has so many loves that align with mine or we learn to bounce off each others likes and interests and begin to grow a passion for them as well (i.e. country music; I absolutely despised this genre of music but he insisted I’d learn to love it and now I do not know how I lived without it, lol). One of our biggest interests we both love is adventure and exploration. We look forward to traveling everywhere and anywhere together, having a forever travel partner to create copious amounts of memories with! Each day is an adventure, whether it is going out to study someplace and drinking lots & lots of iced coffee or planning a getaway out of the country with friends! From the littlest things to the most extravagant- we enjoy our times  together.

He always wants the best for me. I am his number one priority even in his most difficult times, which is something I reflect on time and time again. His selflessness is admirable and I am humbled to have such a wonderful & giving person placed in my life.

He has so many qualities and characteristics that emulate the love of God. He is compassionate, loving, caring, giving, helpful, forgiving, patient, kind, & gentle; not only to me, but to those around him and to those he has never met before. He has made me grow so much as a person just by the way he lives out his life. Because of him & God working in him, I feel like a better and matured version of myself.

These words just give you a glimpse of the person that he is, because there is so much more. But these attributes do not go unnoticed. I am eternally grateful

Below  are some of the photos he captured of me (aside from the perfume images) ❤

My favorite perfume by Lancôme called La Vie Est Belle- It has a light and fresh smell with a sweetness to it, but still very mature and luxurious

Happiest Place on Earth ☆ Walt Disney World

Happiest Place on Earth ☆ Walt Disney World

The magic of Disney was just enough to make the shockingly cold weather in Florida bearable. I’m starting to feel as if the state hates me! This is my second trip to FL, in a row, where the weather makes me feel like I’m just back at home freezing, lol! All the Disney princesses, wonderful fairy-tale rides, spectacular night shows projected on Cinderella’s castle; and, of course, Mickey, was what made this trip a dream come true (oh, and BB8! My favorite!) ✨ I’m starting to speak like an avid Disney goer, but don’t let my attire fool you. I go like every 8 years nowadays (went more as a kid!). It was crazy how many rides and attractions were removed or remodeled that I remember being on as a kid; such as, Ariel’s grotto is completely renovated and relocated, and the Snow White ride and my favorite Minnie Mouse country house are both gone 😭. These will have to remain memories that I’ll keep locked up forever. Speaking of memories, there were attractions that petrified me as a kid, however! 🤣 The Bug’s Life, “It’s Tough to Be a Bug” show had creepy feelings of what felt like actual bugs underneath your seat! The Snow White ride scared me when the alligators would be lurking in the water along with the witch and eerie trees. I remember I went to Disney when they were having their 25th anniversary and the Cinderella castle was a pink cake!!! (link attached) I am pretty sure I have a really crappy, old photograph of that pink castle that I took on my Barbie camera when I was only three years old. Crazy how they will be coming up on 50 years pretty soon- that place will be MOBBED!!! But, nonetheless, I’m sure the celebration will be magnificent! 🏰 🎡 🎠

Christmas in NYC: Look Book

Christmas in NYC: Look Book

Happy 2nd day of Winter! ❅

During the holidays, I love to dress festively; throwing on bright reds, plaids, a comfy scarf, and a cabby hat. Red always seems to be a hit during Christmastime.  It’s such a bold and beautiful color that looks great in front of any holiday backdrop, from the city and all its glimmering lights to a woodsy and serene scene of quiet snow laden evergreens. When it comes to Christmastime, red is definitely my favorite statement color while plaid is my favorite statement pattern! This fall/winter season I have been very into cabby hats. They look very stylish and chic!  They seem to match the city very well. Hats have become an accessory I have grown to love. I also enjoy having a mini cross body purse with me so I don’t have anything too big to lug around the city all day while still adorning a cute accent piece.

I’ve also noticed holding a holiday cup seems to be my signature look now, lol.

3 more days until Christmas ❅

Happy Thanksgiving

I love the details of the holidays. The food, décor, music, and overall atmosphere! This weekend has been so relaxing and fun with family. I spent the weekend in upstate New York surrounded by mountains and evergreens & where the air is brisk and the night sky is crystal clear with stars. I was hoping for some snow like previous years, but we missed it this time ❆ I like to document the decorating details during the holidays & since my gram’s house already has a cozy cottage feel, it just added to the overall ambiance. This was also my first year making my own apple pie which came out so good! Trips to Plattsburgh, driving up and downhill on winding roads, eating lots of great food (& pies), to watching an excessive amount of Christmas Hallmark movies made for a lovely weekend getaway at gram’s.

Love my gram’s decorating!

This delicious apple pie recipe here! My favorite ♥

Love some sparkling cider ♥

I absolutely love the color palette of a Thanksgiving dinner!

Smooth & bold coffee to finish off the night accompanied by pumpkin or apple pie

Hope everyone enjoyed their time with friends and family!

Fall Casual: Look Book

It’s Fall y’all! I absolutely love this season! From brisk air, colorful leaves, and pumpkin picking to fires, hot drinks, and cozy socks – I look forward to autumn each year. I have also learned to love & appreciate my birthday month, being that it is in October (as a kid I had always wanted a fun summer birthday for pool parties and going to the beach with friends). Not only is this season gorgeous, but it is also the big opening act for the month of December, which means Christmas! I never try to jump over any holidays or seasons but am always ready for what’s next to come, appreciating it all along the way. I am very excited for Thanksgiving with family next week and all that will entail  ♡  Here below are some favorite articles of clothing I love for the fall time. I have also been trying new editing styles out to see how I want to portray my photos so please let me know what you think!

Let me just add (since it is in 75% of this post) my Starbucks coffee is a Venti Chestnut Praline Latte which is by far my favorite holiday drink by them!

Nailpolish: Maybelline New York Color Show in Wine & Forever! Favorite go-to fall color ♡

This dark grey and white knitted scarf is one of my favorites during the fall. The material is so soft and stretchy and it adds a little contrast to the more colorful and light pieces.

In love with these camel colored, lace-up, combat boots. They can either be folded over (like so ↑) to show the inside fabric which is a super cute brown, cream, & tan sweater material or they can be laced all the way up to lengthen the boot!

One of my favorite fur pom-pom beanies! It is the perfect color cream that is so versatile with the cutest brown and cream colored pom-pom on top!

One of my favorite fall colors is maroon or a burgundy. This shirt I have on reminds me a little of those colors but has more of a deep raspberry look to it. Either way, all these color combos I am just in love with.

I was really feeling the camel color and decided to pair this whole casual look with a camel colored vest. I wanted something comfortable and warm but also outdoorsy since I happen to be in the woods, lol.

Until next time ♡
