Our neighbors have cows and one of our favorite pastimes when my daughter was young was to go visit them.

Cows always seem to have the same expression, yet I feel that they tell us what they are thinking with their eyes.

In this painting I began with a black and white color scheme, but slowly through the process it was begging for more color, and so I gave into it.
