The relationship between Mothers and Daughters is to say the least a complicated one. It seems like we often find our own selves in that of our children, all the good and all the things that may annoy us about ourselves. In this painting I consider the conflict we as parents have when we try to mold our children into what we feel is the best version of them. The truth I have found is that they are just as much their own individual person as they are a reflection of us.
