“Carry Me”

22”X26” Acrylic on Canvas

As Mothers we have all heard this phrase. In this painting I reflect on time passing. It seemed that it was forever my daughter would constantly utter those words, and in so short a time she is now still jumping up, yet much harder to sling over my hip and carry.

]The tension and beauty in Mother and Daughter relationships is the focus of this series. As a painter I find I have big goals and sometimes it is nice to paint only the simple experiences of parenthood as they so quickly transition from one phase to the next.
